Stunning alpine vistas from your back deck are one thing but throw in a golf course view and the mountain view and you’re looking at a pretty stellar investment at Sun Peaks Resort.
Enjoying its 23rd summer, the Sun Peaks 18-hole par 72 Graham Cooke course takes a scenic route along the village, running along the base of each mountain. There are 6,400-yards to play and two distinct sections. The front nine is short and tight and the back nine is long and wide.
Whether you’re an avid golfer or just enjoy the views that come with golf course living, Sun Peaks is rapidly turning into a golf course destination — one that can be your very own backyard.
There are benefits to both sides of the course when it comes to choosing which house you’d like to purchase.
On the front nine, pockets of trees and beautiful water features add even more character to your morning views. While you enjoy your morning cup of coffee, watch for a bear or deer to wander by, nibbling on their own version of breakfast.
The back nine is all about the vistas and epic views. High up on Sundance mountain, you can see for miles and the golf course is more of a secondary view than the primary feature.
Pro tip: If you’re out for a round, make sure to pause at hole 16 to take in the scenery. Sitting at 1,333 metres, this is BC’s highest tee box.
The beauty of owning a Sun Peaks vacation home is you don’t have to be a golf fanatic to enjoy the holiday. While some of your guests hit the links, others can be hiking through colourful alpine wildflowers, ripping up the trails in the mountain bike park, or stand-up paddling on a peaceful lake.
Your backyard is full of endless options.
