Rediscovering Summer at Sun Peaks

We all know last summer was a bit different when it came to events and activities, which is why we are so excited to see the energy coming back into the village as locals and tourists alike gather in the core to enjoy all we have to offer.

Whether you’re living here year-round, or choosing which weeks to visit your vacation property, the summer events calendar is packed with options to keep you, your friends and family entertained and engaged.

We’ve compiled our favorites below so you can easily pick and choose the style of activity that works best for you!

If you’re looking for family friendly…

Family Weeks are filled to the brim with FREE family activities. From mini golf to pony rides, outdoor games and colouring and science experiments, if you’re tired of hearing ‘I’m bored!’ — these are the weeks for you. With two Family Weeks in July and two in August, you can pick the week that works best for your schedule to visit!

If you’re looking for bike park adventures…

Become a stronger rider at a July women’s bike camp with Cheryl Beattie, or level up at a Summer Shred Camp in August. Both are fantastic opportunities to fine-tune your bike skills and gain confidence in the park.

If you’re looking for live entertainment…

From concerts to a circus performance and a lumberjack show, the village core will be alive with energy as these acts roll through Sun Peaks. A free performance by Circuswest takes place later in July, and the Laughing Lumberjacks will drop by at the end of the month. We are also excited to see BC singer-songwriter Lindsey May and magician Travis Bernhardt.

On top of all of those amazing events and activities, every Sunday is Market Day! Pick and choose from fresh, local produce, meats and more and create a delicious, sustainable meal for your family that night!
